All you need to know about bike lane markings

Chances are that you may have noticed new street markings popping up on roads in and around your area. These markings may raise more questions in your mind than they answer. Are they pointing me to where I can ride my bike or are they new type of parking lane? What is with the green paint? The answer to all these questions is simple: bike lane markings on the road are intended to create safer conditions for both people who are driving and biking. They provide an indication that the road is meant to be shared by multiple users.
